Cannot set up a new deployment


(First, I’m a relative newbie to OttoFMS, so my apologies if this is a basic question…)

I’ve done a few deployments that have worked out great. But today I noticed that I no longer have a “New Deployment” button. It’s this way on two different
accounts on two different servers. Luckily I can re-run old ones to do what I need to do, but I’m curious why this is.



Hey Brent,

Deployments get created from the OttoDeploy application, not from the OttoFMS console! That New Deployment button is in OttoDeploy. You can rerun a deployment you ran in the past from the OttoFMS console, but there is no way from inside of the console to put together a new deployment.

We do this for a few reasons, but the primary one is that the OttoFMS console has no concept of other servers. OttoDeploy knows about all of your servers and their credentials, all stored in an encrypted FileMaker database.
