Version numbers shouldn’t be displayed prior to login as it exposes a threat vector for un-patched exploits. I could see it helpful to see the environment tag and or the nickname on the login screen, if you manage several servers.
FileMaker Server also exposes their server info with an unauthenticated API call. Even if it was hidden from the login page, I don’t think it would solve your concern
Thank you for the feedback. We have been undergoing extensive security auditing and penetration testing for sometime now. If this ever comes up as one of the issues we need to address then we will tackle it.
